"I am absolutely thrilled with the results of the Skin MD Shielding Lotion. My dermatologist, Dr, Jill Mines, in Camarillo, CA gave some samples to me 2 weeks ago. I was recovering from skin cancer treatment of my ears and bridge of my nose after using the Carac cream, similar to Efudex. My ears were pretty sore, red, cracks, even a bit bloody in spots with some scabbing. I usually get treated with a steroid or cortisone cream but she suggested your product since it may be gentler. "I love using lotion, but all too often, I end up with one that makes my hands feel sticky, has a cloying scent, or both. I normally use Lubriderm Unscented, and it works okay. Nothing special. I was skeptical about Skin MD Natural, because it came with a ton of literature about how fabulous it is. I don't know why, but literature about how fabulous your product is always makes me skeptical.

I tried the lotion and found it had a very, very light scent and didn't make my hands feel sticky. So far, so good. But what I noticed that was even more interesting was the fact that it made my hands appear less wrinkly. Ever since I was a teenager I have lamented my wrinkly looking hands. Something about this lotion makes your wrinkles less noticeable, and just for that, I'd buy it.

I noticed it said for face, hand, and body. So I tried it in place of my usual moisturizer. Now, this is during my usual breakout time of the month, and I was concerned that it would make my breakout worse. No need to have worried, I had one pimple, which is about the same as my usual breakout when using the Clinique moisturizer. As far as how well it worked, I'd say it was better in reducing the crow's feet around my eyes than the Clinique.

I have excessively dry legs and feet, and the Skin MD did such a good job I was able to skip a day when I had to drive to Indiana and my legs and feet didn't get ashy on me like they normally would.

Skin MD Natural is a great product. A little goes a very long way, so a bottle would last a long time. It's great for anyone on body and hands, but is better for people with dry skin as a facial moisturizer."

"I purchased samples of Skin MD Natural from your website and liked it. I was happy to discover that a local store actually carried your product (The Face Shop), so I purchased a bottle from them a little while ago.

I love how long the bottle lasts, at first I thought it was a bit much to pay $30CDN for a bottle, but it is lasting a long while (I use it as a facial moisturizer). I love the texture of the lotion, it feels like it sinks and absorbs immediately into my skin, and since I have oily skin, it's great, unlike other moisturizers.

"I live in Colorado and it is very dry here and whether it's my hands or face or skin in general, it's been a challenge to find something that really works.

I happened to luck into finding this product at a Walgreen's. What struck me the most was the comment from Dr.Benest about traditional moisturizers causing a rebound dryness. This makes sense to me because I have found as of late the more I've used the dryer my skin was looking! I had been using products from Ice Elements which the base is hydropol and they are fabulous products but I am so tired of so many "steps". I find I get lazy because it's just too much to do day in and day out. I'm sure there are many women out there that share the same sentiment.

I liked Skin MD Natural so much I went back and bought three additional bottles. I notice it has a tightening effect (on my face) which at age 50, is probably all good! "Being a fair skinned redhead, I've always had the aggravation of extremely sensitive skin. I was a little nervous about trying out Skin MD Shielding Lotion as I was worried I might get to spend the day blotchy. Thankfully, my concerns were groundless and I'm definitely a fan. The lotion is very light and leaves only a soft, not greasy feeling. I've also been pleased with it as a facial moisturizer and am happy to report it didn't cause any breakouts. I do tend toward drier skin.

With a newborn in the house I am constantly changing diapers and washing my hands. I've noticed I do not have to reapply this lotion after each washing. Who has time for that, anyhow?

"I received a sample of Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion in the mail about six weeks ago. I've been meaning to write up a review of the product, but wanted to wait until I actually used it so I could give you guys a proper opinion on how it works. I think six weeks is a sufficiently long time to test out lotion, so here's my assessment.

First of all, I have to admit that I'm not big on moisturizing. I know I should do it, but I just can't stand the greasy, oily feeling that regular lotions give me. Plus, once I get that greasy stuff on my hands, I can't touch my face because I have very sensitive skin that's prone to breakouts. Most over-the-counter lotions set me off, so it's just a big hassle to use them.

That's why I was glad to discover that Skin MD Natural is not like those over-the-counter brands at all. It goes on very smoothly, feels extremely light, and is instantly absorbed by the skin! I mean, I couldn't feel any trace of the lotion after about 5 seconds – no joke! Moreover, there's no obnoxious fragrance added to Skin MD Natural, so I didn't have to contend with any awful smells either.

Now that's all fine and dandy, but does Skin MD Natural actually improve your skin as explained in the doctor reviews section of the website? In other words, does Skin MD really help restore "your skin's natural ability to protect and hydrate"?

After six weeks of use, I would have to say that yes, my skin is in much, MUCH better shape than when I started. As I noted earlier, I don't habitually moisturize, so there were several days during this six-week trial period where I simply forgot to use Skin MD Natural. But my skin still felt noticeably soft and smooth on those days, which is not ordinarily the case at all. So the only conclusion I could reasonably draw is that Skin MD is indeed helping my skin repair itself.

I'm really excited about what this product is doing for my skin! Seriously, I haven't been this happy about my legs, hands, and arms in over a decade. Once this sample runs out, I'll definitely be ordering refills!"

"A few weeks ago before things got all crazy busy for me, I received a full size bottle of Skin MD shielding lotion to try. I love it when I get sent great products to try out!

Shielding lotion is designed for helping your skins natural protective abilities, work better. On a daily basis, our skin is bombarded by chemicals from soaps, shampoos, things in the air, cleaning products etc.

I got the bottle and have been using it every day. I generally don't use lotions because I hate the greasy feeling. I hate picking up a pen and having it slide out of my hand. Skin MD is NOT greasy at all! It rapidly absorbs into your skin, but leaves your skin super soft. And a major bonus, there is NO scent. This is perfect for me because I have scent allergies, and some lotions I have tried with added scents, actually make my skin itch more.

But here's something I didn't expect. I had read some of the customer reviews on the information pamphlets that were sent to me, and one of the customers said it relieved itchy skin. You all know by now about my back surgery, and that a lot of the nerves in my back are not healed yet, don't feel right. I can't feel simple touches, but something like an itch is excruciating. I can't scratch the itches, because the nerves in my back can't feel me scratching. It's totally weird I know.

So anyway, after reading that review, I asked Sebastian to rub the Skin MD all over my back, focusing mostly on the area between my shoulder blades where the incision scar is, and to the sides of the scar, because that's where it itches the most all the time. My back is always itchy in those spots. In about 10 minutes, the itching was completely gone and remained gone until my next shower. The Skin MD did not rub off on my shirt, or rub off on my night shirt while sleeping. It didn't sweat off in the heat. It stayed put and working until I took my shower the next day and actually washed it off. Amazing.

"I'm one of those people who has to put lotion on every day. My legs, especially, get very dry after I shave them (which I should probably do more often!). Now, I will be honest with you: when I saw "MD" in the name, I thought maybe this was a gimmick. What made this lotion any better than any of the other over-the-counter lotions at my store? A lotion is a lotion, right? Anyway, I put the shielding lotion on my legs after I shaved them, and it felt good, the skin looked moisturized, and all was fine. That's pretty much all I expected.

So, the next day, I get out the lotion again — and I don't need it. My legs look great (if I do say so myself!). Even that dry area around my knees looked good. So I smoothed some lotion on my arms, especially around my elbows, and went on with my day. The next day, my skin was still looking great. I was out driving around quite a bit, and since I live in Florida, I am always in the sun when I am outdoors. But this lotion just kept right on working.

To make a long story short, I went an entire week without having to apply any more to my legs (yes, okay, I went a week without shaving my legs, sue me), and they looked great every day. Plus, my elbows weren't, you know, pebbly looking. That's when I decided that this lotion deserved a closer look.

I went to the web site, looked through the literature, and here's what I discovered: this lotion is different. They call it a "shielding lotion" for a reason. It doesn't just go on top of your dry skin to moisturize what's already dry. It bonds with your skin to keep it moisturized all over. It actually helps your skin create a natural seal to hold the moisture in and keep drying irritants out. And there were numerous reports from dermatologists on the site (where the MD comes from, I'm guessing) endorsing the way the shielding lotion protects your skin. Now, I don't see a dermatologist, and I bet a lot of Moms are like me. We have limited time and limited budgets and a lot of our effort goes into keeping our kids and our families happy, and so things like our skincare tend to sift to the bottom of the pile. I know mine does.

But that's why I think that 21st Century Formulations, the company that makes the Skin MD Natural shielding lotion, is on to something here. Because I didn't have to spend a lot of time, or use a lot of different creams and lotions and such, to keep my skin looking great. They made it nice and easy for me. I just put on the Skin MD shielding lotion and forget about it. That's my kind of skincare regimen, right there. And since it lasted a long time, I really didn't need to use much of it at all, which means the expense is minimal, as well.

"My boy has rough skin surface on his feet because he loves crawling on the ground, both indoor and outdoor. I put on the lotion for his feet for a week. The skin was not as dark as before, and it felt smoother too. Too bad he refused to let me take a before and after photo of his feet. And after a week, he refused to join in my experiment. So, I can only see the results after 7 days.

My gal only used the lotion when we were in Bali. As you know, some sunblock can be very dry to our skin, especially those with higher properties of SPF and PA. I put on the lotion for her before applying sunblock with SPF50+++ for her. She has eczema, and throughout the 4 days stay, she didn't have any outbreak.

Frankly, I love the product.

In short, this product review is only based on my personal observation as I don't have any instrument to measure the skin improvement. But give it a try. The first impression you will have after putting on the lotion is your skin will feel very smooth, as if there is a layer of protection on top. Besides, it's not greasy."

"As promised, I wanted to share my story with you about my experience with your Skin MD Natural lotion. It has me in such awe that it would be a shame not to relate it to you in writing.

You were kind enough to send me a sample bottle of your shielding lotion after I'd called you to let you know that I would be placing a product release in our upcoming issue's new product showcase. Upon receipt of your sample bottle of shielding lotion I began using it on a regular basis. I simply kept the bottle on my office desk and applied it throughout the day. Though I liked the way it made my hands feel, I didn't really give much conscious thought to the healing properties of this lotion.
